ACCESS ministries have been providing Chaplaincy services to schools since 1955 and are the largest employer of Chaplains in Victoria. Our endorsed Chaplains have the highest standard of professional qualifications and our Student Wellbeing Workers also provide an addition choice of service to school communities.
Currently ACCESS ministries operates 320 Chaplaincy and Wellbeing programs in schools across Victoria, offering pastoral care to over 160,000 young people, school staff and their communities.
At Blackburn High School we value students’ achievements and learning and have additional staff in place to support students in reaching their learning goals. In addition these people initiate programs within the school to assist students learn the skills involved in making good decisions. Ultimately we want all our students to be able to live fulfilled lives. Our specialist health and wellbeing staff include an educational psychologist and a chaplain.
Chaplaincy is partially funded by the Federal Government. All donations add to this funding and are managed by an active volunteer Chaplaincy Support Group.
